Soon, How to Train Your Dragon will join the long and ever-growing list of animated films to get a live-action adaptation. How soon, you might ask? Well, this particular live-action adaptation will hit theaters on June 13, 2025. This means that soon, we will be able to purchase tickets for this live-action film. In fact, those tickets are currently on sale, and you can purchase them from the film’s official website or from Fandango.

Well, at least Toothless looks very well-animated.

Not convinced as to whether or not you want to see this live-action adaptation from director Dean DeBlois? Who was one of the original directors of the original 2010 animated film from DreamWorks Animation, by the way? Well, How to Train Your Dragon has just posted a new featurette video on YouTube to help out with that. The featurette is titled “Bringing Berk to Life”, I might add. Check out that featurette below:

Complete with Gerad Butler returning to play Stoick the Vast.

As you can see in that featurette, a lot of work was put into bringing Berk to life. Exactly as the title states too. And yet, they also feel like they’re not just faithfully recreating scenes from the original animated film either. They feel like they’re trying to flesh out details that don’t appear in the animated film while making them look more epic at the same time. Your mileage may vary on the end result. However, it’s hard to deny that at the very least, the people behind the scenes gave it their best shot.

What do you all think? Does this “Bringing Berk to Life” featurette video make you want to watch this live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon? Does it make you more excited for it? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
