There are many anime series that star an invincible hero, but One-Punch Man is unique among them. All because of the way writer ONE and artist Yusuke Murata have written the hero Saitama. As it turns out, going with a comedic take on your invincible hero and focusing on the struggles of the side cast is the way to go. It certainly explains why the anime adaptation by Madhouse (S1) and J.C.Staff (S2-3) is so popular and well-received, and why it currently has two seasons plus 12 OVAs. It also certainly explains why there’s a third season in the works and on the way, also from J.C.Staff.

In fact, that third season is why we have this bit of news for today. Viz Media is proud to announce that they have officially acquired One-Punch Man season 3 for distribution. All for its upcoming Japanese broadcast sometime in October 2025. Alas, that’s all the info we have on it from Viz Media. We shall have to wait for more from them later. Which according to Viz Media themselves, will be arriving in the coming weeks.

Alas, this is basically an announcement that there will be announcement regarding One-Punch Man season 3. Now granted, it’s nice to know that Viz Media will be distributing it again as in previous seasons. However, there’s basically nothing in terms of actual news about this third season. All we can do is wait for Viz Media to get on with telling us, and just watch (or re-watch) the first two seasons of the anime, which you can do so in the U.S. only on Hulu. Unless you live in Canada or Latin America, in which case, you can watch it only on Netflix.
