After making a stop in Chicago, Godzilla is heading to Los Angeles! Godzilla VS. America: Los Angeles is now available at your local comic shops. This issue features multiple stories from creators who are from or living in Los Angeles, celebrating and paying tribute to the city. Thanks to our friend at IDW Publishing, I was able to get an early look at this comic to review. You can check out my thoughts below.

Godzilla VS. America: Los Angeles

Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary, in partnership with IDW Publishing has released the next issue of GODZILLA VS AMERICA. This anthology limited series follows Godzilla as he attacks cities across the United States that Godzilla’s never visited before. After attacking Chicago, Los Angeles is up next in GODZILLA VS AMERICA: LOS ANGELES launching today: April 30

As a part of the series, the issue features multiple stories from creators who are from or living in Los Angeles, celebrating and paying tribute to the city.

GODZILLA VS AMERICA: LOS ANGELES was in development for over a year before the Los Angeles wildfires hit. Now, 100% of the proceeds from the issue will be donated to the Binc Foundation, a charity helping bookstores and comic stores affected by the tragic wildfires.

Godzilla VS. America: Los Angeles

It has been a busy review day today, and I love it. For those new to my reviews, I like to follow what I like to call the three Ss: Short, Simple, Spoiler-Free. So Godzilla VS. America: Los Angeles is going to be a different review because there are multiple stories (4) in this issue from creators who are from or living in Los Angeles. Those stories are EYE IN THE SKY, THE BIG BREAK, HOW TO USE LOS ANGELES METRO TO SURVIVE A GODZILLA ATTACK, and GODZIL-LA.

Each of these stories is unique in its own way. Some give you that traditional comic book look and feel, and some read like an instruction manual. What I like about all these different stories is that they are short and fun to read. Now, please remember these styles and stories are all different, so don’t expect to see the Godzilllas you know from the movies in every panel. Each writer and artist told their story in a way to reach out to different types of comic fans,

Godzilla VS. America: Los Angeles is a must-read for any comic and Godzilla fan. From action to comedy, there is a story in this comic for any Godzilla fan.
