This week, Apple TV+, in partnership with the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC), hosted a vibrant celebration of LatinX excellence in television. The event honored the creative contributions of LatinX talent both in front and behind the camera at Apple’s Emmy House on May 5. The event brought together many industry professionals, Imagen Award voters, and NHMC members for an inspiring evening of culture.
The Cinco de Mayo event featured a panel hosted by Brenda Castillo, President & CEO of NHMC, that highlighted influential voices shaping the future of television. Some of the names included John Ortiz, Actor (Bad Monkey, Government Cheese), Jeanine Mason, Actor (WondLa), Roxann Dawson, Director (Dark Matter), Camila Perez, Actor (Acapulco), George Guzman, Head of Department, Hair (Shrinking), Renata Vaca, Actor (Midnight Family), Lorena Perez Batista, Music Editor (The Studio).

In addition to the panel, the event welcomed a remarkable lineup of LatinX talent from across Apple TV+’s acclaimed series and the broader television industry. Notable attendees included Fernando Carsa, Vico Escorcia, Jessica Collins, and Rafael Cebrián from “Acapulco”. Ana Rey from “Loot”, Roberto Sanchez from “Palm Royale”, and Adrian Martinez from “Severance”.
Also in attendance were Scot Wade Cain (FBI), Dani Fernandez (host, writer, and executive producer), Vince Corea (actor), Mack Harrison (actor/influencer), and Katie Grossbard (activist/influencer). Their presence added to the evening’s spirit of unity and celebration, highlighting the vast range of LatinX voices making an impact across genres and roles.

Following the panel, guests enjoyed a lively Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring music, food, and community, set against the stunning backdrop of Apple’s Emmy House. The event underscored Apple TV+’s ongoing commitment to elevating diverse voices and creating meaningful opportunities for LatinX creatives across the entertainment industry.
