Eli Roth is bringing his brand of horror to a new movie, titled Ice Cream Man. Variety was first to the news about the Hostel and Thanksgiving director’s film. The movie will be financed by Media Capital Technologies and The Horror Section, a new company that allows horror fans to invest and buy stock in their productions.

The new movie is said to be “the story of an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.” Roth will direct and wrote the script from an original idea that he’s had for over 20 years. Ice Cream Man should release in theaters in the second quarter of 2026. Production should begin this Summer in Canada.

Here’s what Roth had to say about the film.

“I’ve had this idea for a long, long time, and studios were too afraid of my early drafts. Now’s the time to push the envelope farther than I ever have with what I think will be my most terrifying and insane film to date. Films like Ice Cream Man are what we created The Horror Section for, to make unrated, boundary-pushing theatrical events the horror fans can all scream about for years. I’m very lucky to have such fantastic partners like MCT and, of course, all the investors in The Horror Section.”

For those wondering, this won’t have anything to do with the 90s horror film Ice Cream Man that starred Clint Howard as a deadly ice cream man. We’ll have to see how Roth’s movie turns out when it releases next year.

There hasn’t been any news about the sequel that Eli Roth filmed earlier this year, Thanksgiving 2.
