By all accounts, Squid Game has been an incredible success for Netflix. It’s not hard to see why either. This very muych dystopian survival horror and thriller series from creator, writer, and director Hwang Dong-hyuk (Silenced, Miss Granny, The Fortress) produces one of the most intense combination of genres in the TV world. The result of which is that the show is it’s now Netflix’s most-watched series, and has received numerous awards on top of that. In fact, the list of awards includes no less than six Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. No matter how you look at it, all those shinies and viewers makes this show a wild success.

Thus, you can easily imagine why a third season is in the works. The only surprising thing is that it will be the final season when it eventually makes its streaming debut on June 27, 2025. How will Dong-hyuk conclude his story, you might ask? Well, Netflix has just released an official teaser for Squid Game season 3 on YouTube that might give us an insight into that. You can watch that teaser below:

Those heavily armed guards make me think this game is not entirely voluntary.

As you can see from that teaser, Squid Game season 3 will have just as much blood, suspense, and thrills as the previous seasons. All with the distinctly clothed and heavily armed guards watching over them all with face masks that make you wonder how they’re able to see through them. Ah, oh well. MP5s don’t really need precise aim at these distances anyways. Just spraying and praying would work just fine against these unarmed contestants. Now all we need is for the contestants to forcibly acquire some of those submachine guns, and the fight will be more even. Alas, that’s probably not the point of this show, so I’ll just leave you all to wonder what it’s about.
