Two years ago, Danny and Michael Philippou hit audiences with the supernatural horror flick Talk To Me. Now, the duo return to thrill and chill audiences with Bring Her Back.
The new film is a frightening exploration of grief and its consequences. We sat down with the Philippou brothers to discuss bringing Bring Her Back to life, from finding their lead Sally Hawkins (“There’s no way Sally f-in’ Hawkins is gonna say yes to this!”) to creating the scariest “found footage” sequences and more.

About Bring Her Back
In Bring Her Back, a brother and sister witness a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.
Our reviewer Jeff Ewing called the film “a stunning, claustrophobic character study” with “stomach-turning moments of body horror”:
“Altogether, Bring Her Back is a horror story of a slightly different flavor from Talk To Me, and yet it’s a welcome one. It’s an immersive, confined horror tale that builds suspense and claustrophobia skillfully, making the situation feel all the more helpless for the trapped children. There is an interesting sense of mystery throughout, and it successfully builds dread to keep it engaging. Bring Her Back feels fresh and stays with you, showing that the skillful scares of Talk To Me were no fluke for the Philippou brothers. The future of horror is as bright as it is terrifying.”
The horror flick marks the second feature from Danny and Michael Philippou. The brothers previously directed 2023’s Talk To Me.
Bring Her Back stars Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, Mischa Heywood, and Jonah Wren Phillips.
The feature premieres in theaters May 30.
