“Nonnas” is on Netflix just in time for Mother’s Day. The feature film stars Vince Vaughn as a man looking for a way to cope with the loss of his mother. He tries to connect with her and his grandmother through cooking. Memories of him standing in the kitchen watching them make what looked like magic run through his mind. This results in an idea to open a restaurant where the chefs would be grandmothers or “nonnas” who cook their family recipes for guests. The film is based on a real person and a restaurant in New York.

CHATTING WITH THE LORRAINE BRACCO AND BRENDA VACCARO

With the release of “Nonnas” I spoke with Lorraine Bracco and Brenda Vaccaro. They play two of the women who are recruited to be the Chefs of Joe’s new restaurant. During our conversation, we talked about the chemistry between them on set. They share with me how fun it was for them to banter with one another allowing them to have really fun scenes. They also share with me if they themselves have a favorite dish to cook or if they even like to cook at all. It was a fun conversation that you can check out below!
