“The Last Rodeo” is the latest offering from Angel Studios hitting theaters on May 23. The film centers around a retired 50-year-old bull rider that must confront the bull once again as well as his personal demons to save his grandson and his relationship with his daughter. The film is directed by Jon Avnet. Based on a script co-written by Neal McDonough, who also stars in the film.

With the release of “The Last Rodeo”, I spoke with Jon Avnet and Neal McDonough about the film. McDonough shared how his personal journey was the inspiration to his character. Avnet gave his thoughts on the character and why he enjoys working with McDonough. Both spoke on the themes of the film from a father’s perspective.
