William Catlett is going from vampires and evil spirits to Crystal Lake. Multiple sources are reporting that the Abigail and Forever actor is joining the cast of the upcoming A24 series. He joins the previously announced Linda Cardellini in the Friday the 13th expansion on Peacock.
Sources are saying that Catlett will play the role of Levon Brooks, although there aren’t any other details about what Brooks has to do with the new series. Linda Cardellini is playing the role of Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason. The series comes from showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, who will also write the show and executive produce. The other executive producers include A24; Victor Miller, who wrote the screenplay for the franchise’s original 1980 film; Miller’s copyright attorney, Marc Toberoff; Robert M. Barsamian; Robert P. Barsamian; Stuart Manashil; and Tyson Bidner.
The project was first announced in October 2022 with Bryan Fuller on board to showrun and write the series. After some creative differences, Fuller left the project and Brad Caleb Kane was brought on. This is one of the first projects that A24 is doing in part of an expansion on their part into more IP-driven material.
Who Is William Catlett?

William Catlett is an actor that’s appeared in plenty of projects in recent years. He’s recently starred in Forever from Netflix, and known for roles on other TV series like Constellation, True Story, and Black Lightning. He also starred in Never Let Go and Abigail for recent horror projects. He’s also been in movies like A Thousand and One and Charm City Kings.
This won’t be the first Friday the 13th TV series though. There was the show Friday the 13th: The Series which ran from 1987-1990. That show didn’t have much to do with the actual series, but if it lasted for more seasons, there were plans for a tie-in with Jason’s hockey mask as one of the cursed objects in the show.
This will be the first Friday the 13th project since the 2009 reboot of the first three films at New Line Cinema.
