From Oscar® winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions comes HIM. The film is a haunting new horror film that peels back the glossy layers of celebrity culture. It also exposes the sinister cost of greatness. Known for genre-defining hits like Get Out, Us, Candyman, and Nope, Monkeypaw’s latest offering ventures into the heart of fame, identity, and obsession, with a powerful, unexpected performance from Marlon Wayans.

HIM follows Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers), a promising young quarterback whose future is derailed by a violent encounter with an unstable fan just days before the professional football scouting Combine. Reeling from brain trauma and facing the end of his dreams, Cam is offered salvation by his idol, legendary quarterback Isaiah White (Wayans). White invites him to train at a secluded compound alongside his influencer wife, Elsie (Julia Fox).

At first, Isaiah is everything Cam has aspired to be: charming, driven, and powerful. But as the mentorship intensifies, the cracks begin to show. Cam soon finds himself spiraling into a psychological nightmare where ambition, hero worship, and manipulation blur dangerously.

Directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks) and written by Zack Akers, Skip Bronkie, and Tipping himself, HIM blends psychological horror with razor-sharp cultural commentary. The film features a standout ensemble including Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, MMA fighter Maurice Greene, and music artists Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack in their feature debuts.

Produced by Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson, and executive produced by David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh, HIM promises to be a gripping exploration of the dark side of hero worship. Where the pursuit of greatness may come at the cost of one’s soul.

Watch Him only in theaters September 19th.
