Gabby’s Dollhouse is a rather odd and unique kid’s show that DreamWorks Animation dreamed up. Not only for its hybrid live-action and animated style choice, but also for its highly interactive nature that encourages participation from its intended young target audience.
And yet, it’s not that surprising when you look at the creators. Both Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey had worked extensively on Blue’s Clues, which featured a similar format for its interactivity. In fact, Traci Paige Johnson is one of the co-creators of Blue’s Clues, and was the actual voice of Blue herself for the entirety of the show. Thus, you can understand why they would go for a similar level of interactivity with their new show. Not to mention the cute kitties. The fact that Gabby’s Dollhouse has had 11 seasons totaling 76 episodes thus far since its initial Netflix debut on January 5, 2021 should tell you just how popular that format is with kids. Not to mention the show being the ninth most viewed series on Netflix as well.
And now, the show is all set to become even more popular with the impending release of a feature-length film. That’s right. DreamWorks Animation and Netflix are purroud to announce the impending theatrical release Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. How impending, you might ask? Well, this feature-length adventure Gabby and her kitty friends will go on will take place on September 26, 2025. In fact, they even have an official trailer for the film on YouTube, which you can also watch below:

Honestly, this feature-length film is a logical next step for Gabby’s Dollhouse to take. The jump from the small screen to the big screen will be pretty impressive for this kid’s show to take. And soon, you will be able to take your kids to theaters to see what kind of adventures Gabby and her kitty friends will get up to in a strange city. It might take a bit though.
