If you’ve ever been on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, you’ll know that it’s one of the most comprehensive and fun experiences that film fans can go on. Naturally, with Superman Day falling on Friday, April 18th, WB had to step up their game to account for the massive superhero. To celebrate, they created a special version of the Studio Tour that only focused on DC and Superman. So you still get all the information and sights of the tour, but with a DC spin. Following that, they gave us a special screening of Superman 1978 and an early look at the new costumes of Superman 2025.
The studio tour portion of the night was an informative look into how movies are made and this special DC version was nice to see just how many various DC shows and movies have filmed on the famous backlot. Whether it’s Lois and Clark or Lucifer or Batman Returns, there have been myriad productions that have taken up the backlot.
This version of the tour adds to the already amazing assortment of tours they have year-round. There’s the normal Studio Tour, there’s the TCM Classic Movies tour that takes you into some of the prop houses on the lot, there’s the Batman Day tour, and now the Superman Day tour. All are perfect looks into the moviemaking magic that goes on with Warner Bros..

As for the Superman screening and the costumes, they were also a welcome part of this new Superman Day Studio Tour. Seeing the best Superman film on the big screen with other people clapping and cheering along was an amazing experience. The movie is just as much of a classic as it was back when it was released in theaters. The John Williams score swelling up and blasting along the first flight of Superman is a true cinematic experience.
The ending section of the Studio Tour with the various DC and Harry Potter exhibits is relatively unchanged, but there’s now a big section with the costumes from the upcoming Superman movie. It replaced the costumes from Game of Thrones for now, and it remains to be seen if they’ll make a return. The new costumes include Superman’s outfit, Lois Lane’s outfit, Clark Kent’s suit, and Lex Luthor’s costume. The new costumes look top notch, up to par with the other classic DC costumes in the same area like the ones from Wonder Woman, Batman, and previous iterations of Superman.
