Do you hate when movie trailers spoil everything? Then we have the trailer for you. New Line Cinema just dropped a new look at Weapons, an upcoming horror-thriller from Zach Cregger (Barbarian).

Check out the trailer below, which sets up an appropriately creepy vibe without exposing every plot beat.

The official synopsis for the film reads, When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.”

Cregger wrote and directed Weapons. And if his previous work is anything to go by, keeping the trailer sparse on details will only add to the audience’s viewing experience down the line; Cregger’s 2022 horror-thriller Barbarian thrived in much the same way, withholding a lot from promos to truly surprise audiences in the theater.

The cast features Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, and Cary Christopher, with Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.

The feature also revealed a poster, which you can see below.

Warner Bros. will distribute the film, which releases in theaters and IMAX nationwide this summer. You can catch it starting August 8.

So, what did you think of the trailer for Weapons? Let us know in the comments if you’ll be watching.
