Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine are in the midst of their 2025 tour “The Poison Ascendancy”. That’s named after their two albums Ascendancy from Trivium and The Poison from Bullet For My Valentine. They’re both celebrating 20th anniversaries of those two landmark albums.
The North American leg of the tour is almost done, they both have a couple of shows left. There were plans for a South American tour and an Australian tour, but those have fallen through. Trivium posted a tour flyer on their socials that included this comment.
“As we bring The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour to an end, with just 4 SHOWS LEFT, make sure you don’t miss your chance to come out and celebrate this 20-year anniversary with us!”
That brings us to Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto giving out some details as to the cancelation:
“Matt Tuck didn’t want to do it, after we had planned it, after stuff was already in the works — don’t know why. I think it would have been amazing. I think ‘The Poison’ is a great album. I think the two records pair very well together. And I think it would have been nice to give everyone around the world a chance to see the two together.”
Matt Tuck is the vocalist and brains behind Bullet For My Valentine. This points blame to him for the cancelation. After a response and some comments from fans, Trivium responded saying this.
“He’s the sole decision maker of the band, and he has no respect for us or our crew.”
Matt Heafy, the lead singer of Trivium posted this statement video also.
