The guests at ATX TV Festival got a closer look at the supernatural-hunting secret society known as the Talamasca. The new series from AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe revealed first-look photos today.
Anne Rice’s Talamasca focuses on a secretive society comprised of people responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other supernatural creatures scattered around the globe. The show is executive produced by Academy Award nominee John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (The Right Stuff, Halt and Catch Fire) serve as co-showrunners and executive producers on the series. Mark Johnson, who oversees all of AMC’s Anne Rice series, also executive produces.
Talamasca stars Nicholas Denton (Dangerous Liaisons, Glitch), Academy Award, BAFTA, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominee and SAG winner Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey, Ordinary People), SAG winner William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, Armageddon, Crash, Mom), and Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Nine Perfect Strangers, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow). During the ATX panel, AMC also announced Celine Buckens (Showtrial, The Ex-Wife) would appear as a series regular and Jason Schwartzman (Mountainhead, Pavements) will guest star.

More Anne Rice Immortal Universe Updates Out of ATX

At ATX, AMC also offered some updates on the other shows in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe.
Season 3 of Interview with the Vampire will begin production next month in Toronto. The upcoming season will follow the vampire Lestat and his rock band on tour.
Meanwhile, season 3 of Mayfair Witches is currently in the works in the writers’ room. The next season will be set in Salem, MA and dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, the historical happenings of Salem, and introduce new ‘spellbound’ families.
