Ben 10: The Complete Series comes to DVD this week and animation fans are going to be excited to catch up with the Tennysons after all this time. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment sent me a copy of the vast collection to review here on That Hashtag Show. It’s been a long ride in Grandpa’s old camper with these characters.
Peeking into Ben 10: The Complete Series feels like tracking your own growth with the series in a lot of ways. If you were around in 2005 for the original show or have caught on during one of its many creative refreshes, there’s a lot to be charmed about in this box set.
Cartoon Network completionists should consider this series box set a no-brainer. With over 200 episodes on offer, and the two animated movies in there as well, it’s about all a fan of this show could ask for. Let’s check under the hood to see what’s in this massive collection.
What Do You Get In Ben 10: The Complete Series?

There’s just a ton of animated action inside of Ben 10: The Complete Series. Fans of the Cartoon Network program can indulge in all the episodes of the 2005 show, Ben 10: Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Ben 10: Omniverse. Hold on, because we’re just getting started. There’s also Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix and Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens to boot. (Those are the animated features from that first run!)
Now, that’s just a massive amount of television. If you love Man of Action’s output, there’s days of entertainment there. By my count, that’s 227 episodes and like 4,000 minutes. All of those numbers are basically required when a complete series box set makes it to market. Part of the unique appeal of this franchise is how much the central idea has remained consistent despite animation changes and different eras. The entire thing is just super durable in so many ways.
Our main character can be a pre-teen, a teenager, the wicked version of him from the future or a kid closer to the target audience and it all reads the same. Ben Tennyson is a kid with a wild Science Fiction watch that allows him to become cool aliens. Everything else kind of springs from that piece of great imagination.
Why is This Collection Worth It?

Grown-up audiences that may have grown up with the original Ben 10 often lament that there’s very few original IP things that stand up to favorites from yesteryear like He-Man or Transformers. Ben 10 absolutely stands as one of the examples of enduring kids TV from the late aughts. Cartoon Network was headed into a massively successful age with Adventure Time and Regular Show on the horizon. Ben 10 and Generator Rex still get a smile out of a lot of folks when they’re brought up.
Recently, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has been doing a wonderful job debuting these time capsule collections for viewers of all stripes. (Would I like to see those two live-action Ben 10 movies in here? Sure! Am I not gonna dive into all this splendor? Not a chance.) Ben 10: The Complete Series really captures that energy from a big moment of cartoon media. It’s a fitting addition to your DVD collection and a great companion to those other “FusionFall” era series that aired back then. It can always be “Hero Time” now, and that’s pretty dope.
Ben 10: The Complete Series is on DVD now from Warner Brothers Home Entertainment.
