The Office spinoff, The Paper is set to premiere this fall. Peacock dropped a first look image from the news series. Oscar Nuñez is back after his stint on The Office. But, he’s joined by a host of newcomers in this Peacock spinoff show. NBCUniversal’s upfronts presentations are going on right now and they’re announcing a ton of new information about movies and shows.
The Paper follows a publisher trying to bring back a local newspaper to prominence. Basically, the documentary crew from The Office has found a new batch of subjects. Oscar is absolutely mortified to see them all waltz into his new workplace. All that time at Dunder Mifflin came roaring back to him.

Here’s how Peacock describes the new show: “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.”
The Paper Gets First Look
NBC Universal was always keen on bringing this show back in some capacity. The Office is one of those shows that just took off on streaming and never really looked back. (Remember when the highest Peacock tiers included all of The Office and that was a main draw for the service?) So, we’re finally here with more of that world to look forward to.

“It’s been more than ten years since the final episode of The Office aired on NBC, and the acclaimed comedy series continues to gain popularity and build new generations of fans on Peacock,” Lisa Katz, President, NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in a statement.
They continue, “In partnership with Universal Television and led by the creative team of Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, this new series set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh setting ripe for comedic storytelling: a daily newspaper.”
